We had the pleasure of hosting an enriching field visit in Gjirokastra as part of the Digitaltour initiative, aimed at empowering the agritourism sector in Albania through digital payment solutions. This event brought together over 30 agritourism business owners and industry professionals, all focused on learning and adapting to the growing digital economy.
Our discussions covered key topics such as the importance of digital payments in boosting efficiency and customer satisfaction, overcoming challenges within the tourism sector, exploring opportunities for growth, and promoting green tourism practices. Additionally, we highlighted the importance of sustainability policies and effective marketing and communication strategies to enhance the visibility of the agritourism sector.
The training session was led by industry experts including Heriola Saphiu, CEO of NOA, Fabiola Duro, Founder of INNVEST/IMAA, along with representatives from Raiffeisen Bank and the Municipality of Gjirokastra. Their insights and expertise provided valuable perspectives on how digital transformation can reshape the tourism industry in Albania.
