Embark on a journey with us to reshape Albanian agritourism through the power of digital payments from June 2024 to March 2025. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of launching our first field visit in the beautiful city of Saranda, marking the beginning of an exciting series of activities aimed at empowering agritourism entities through digital innovation.
Our event brought together various stakeholders, including the mayor of Saranda, Olti Caci, who has shown unwavering support for this transformative initiative. We also had the honor of hosting Herjola Spahiu, CEO of NOA, who delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of green and sustainable tourism. Her insights underscored the critical role of sustainable practices in enhancing the tourism experience and preserving our natural heritage.
The session delved into the significance of digital payments in modernizing agritourism services. We explored practical aspects of implementing these systems, providing attendees with valuable knowledge and tools to enhance their business operations. The interactive discussions and hands-on guidance from industry experts created an engaging and educational experience for all participants.
This field visit is just the first of many in our ambitious project. Over the coming months, we will conduct over 12 field visits, reaching more than 319 entities across Albania. Our initiative includes info sessions, workshops, and exciting challenges designed to recognize and reward excellence in digital payment adoption. Special categories, such as “Best Performance on Digital Payment,” “Best Company Led by a Woman,” and “Best Company Led by a Youth,” will highlight the achievements of participating entities and inspire others in the industry.
